Sunrise Aluminium (HongKong) Co. Ltd. proudly announces the successful launch of its first large-scale solar power project, a milestone achievement in the company’s sustainability journey. Installed across the rooftops of the factory buildings in Q4 2024 and becoming fully operational in January 2025, the system now delivers clean electricity to power the entire production process—significantly reducing the environmental footprint of our aluminium profile manufacturing.
A key feature of the project is that many of the aluminium components used in the solar installation were supplied directly by Sunrise Aluminium’s own factory. By leveraging our in-house expertise and high-quality aluminium profiles, we ensured both the durability and efficiency of the rooftop system, while also showcasing the versatility of our products in supporting green energy solutions.
With a photovoltaic power generation capacity of 330,000 kilowatt-hours per month, Sunrise Aluminium consumes around half of this energy for its own operations, while the remainder is supplied directly to the local grid. This initiative reduces approximately 137,600 kilograms of CO₂ emissions per month, equal to more than 1.65 million kilograms annually—the equivalent of taking hundreds of cars off the road each year.
This initiative not only strengthens the sustainability of our operations but also reflects a broader shift in the aluminium industry toward greener practices. By producing with renewable energy, Sunrise Aluminium demonstrates how industrial growth and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
